Round and Oval above ground pools are probably the most popular style above ground pool kits on the market today! Above ground pool kits can be purchased in several different wall heights, typically 52” and 54” walls are the most commonly found. All round above ground pools are ready for use with Chlorine and most packages will include a wide mouth skimmer to help circulate water. Most above ground pool packages have different options available for your pool liner and the pump/filter for your pool. We’ve found that a 25 gauge liner is always worth spending the extra money on and typically come with a few nicer pattern options. Most round above ground pools will operate efficiently when combined with a 1.5 HP pool pump and a 22” sand filter; we recommend the Excel brand above ground pool pump and filter system.

Ledges and Uprights are also very important when thinking about an oval above ground pool. We recommend a 6" minimum top seat/ledge. However if your budget permits a 8" resin top seat/ledge is the best choice. Also resin/polymer bottom and top tracks are also nice upgrades especially if you plan on using salt water with your pool kit. Uprights are include with most kits and some have a 6" steel upright as an option, this is preferred.

Please note only some round pool styles are considered salt water above ground pools; not all above ground pools are rated for use with salt water.
